This podcast is hosted and produced by me, Lars Børresen. I am an amateur podcaster, and a professional diplomat with the Norwegian Foreign Service. I am currently in Beijing and I have spent the last decade or so working on trade and economic issues in Switzerland and China.
I have previously been posted to the Consulate General in Guangzhou in South China, and to the Permanent Mission to the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.
I hold an M.Sc. in Economic History from the London School of Economics and a B.A. in English Literature and History from the University of Oslo. I have studied studied various programmes and courses at the University of York, the University of Leeds, Norwegian Business School BI, the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, the Beijing Language Institute and the New York Institute of Finance.
I have three great children and a wonderful wife.
